UPI Study, co-founded by Dr. Vikas Kaushal and Manit Kaushal, is leveraging technology, connecting students worldwide to quality education, empowering them to pursue accredited courses and earn college credits, no matter where they are. Dr. Vikas Kaushal, an education industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, has founded numerous schools and colleges and served on university boards across India, Singapore, and Canada. His dedication to academic excellence laid the foundation for UPI Study’s mission.
Manit Kaushal, a serial entrepreneur with a background in software, business, and emerging technologies, brought this vision to life with his expertise. A graduate of Brown, Harvard, and Purdue University, Manit has been a teacher and founder of multiple companies. His passion for transforming education through technology is the driving force behind UPI Study’s innovative approach. During his own academic journey, Manit realized he had an advantage—AP exams allowed him to earn credits and graduate early. Many of his international peers didn’t have access to similar opportunities, which sparked his desire to create a more inclusive solution.
Founder Message and Mission
My journey into education stems from a multi-generational legacy—my family have been deeply involved in the education sector for four generations. I witnessed firsthand the financial and logistical barriers international students face when trying to access quality education abroad. UPI Study was founded to bridge this gap, offering affordable, transferable college credits that help students save time and money on tuition while securing admission pathways to universities in the U.S. and Canada.
Our mission is ambitious: To save students $1 billion in tuition costs by 2035. So far, we have successfully saved students $16 million in tuition.

UPI Study initially launched in Canada, operating successfully for two years before expanding into the U.S. with a much larger market. To ensure its credibility, the company worked with 118 professors globally to publish nearly 70 textbooks, ultimately securing accreditation in January 2024.
Today, the platform offers 70+ accredited courses recognized by NCCRS and ACE, enabling students to transfer credits to over 2,100 universities in the U.S. and Canada. Students can verify credit transferability through UPI Study’s "Find My College" tool, direct university searches, or by consulting a UPI Study advisor. For added security, students can also receive transcripts through partner universities like Excelsior University, Thomas Edison State University (TESU), and Woodman University. All materials, textbooks, and eBooks are included in the UPI membership—there are no additional costs for exams or study materials.
